Adidas Makes Shoes Out of Plastic Pulled From the Ocean

There has been a warning that by 2050 there will be more plastic in the sea than fish.

Many people are trying to create different ways to take away all of the plastic waste that resides in the ocean but eventually the same plastic will be led right back in it.

Once plastic is created, it cannot be unmade, and plastic bottles cannot be really recycled into new plastic bottles.

Adidas plans to contribute to solving this problem by making 1 million pairs of running shoes by recycling 11 million plastic bottles that have been recovered from the ocean near the Maldives.

These shoes are available on Amazon from $50 to $150.

Eventually, Adidas plans to remove virgin plastic from its supply chain completely.
